Using a size h/5mm hook and worsted weight yarn.
For the body of the hat:
Row 1: ch 4, or make a magic loop, 11dc into the loop, or first sc.
Row 2: dc2in all the stitches all the way across, 1 dc into the ch2 space, ss into the top of the ch2
Row 3: *1 dc, dc2 into the next stitch* repeat from star all the way around, ss into the ch2
Row 4: *2 dc, dc2 into the next stitch* repeat from star, all the way around, ss into the top of ch2.
Row 5:* 3 dc, dc2 into the next stitch,* repeat from start all the way across, ss into the top of the ch 2 space.
This is enough increases for a kids sized hat ( 18” head or below). If you are making a kids sized hat,dc all the way around for 8 rows, sc all the way around for one row. Continue on if you want a size to fit a 20” -23” head.
Row 6:* 4hdc, hdc2 into the next stitch,* repeat from star all the way across, ss into the top of the ch 2 space.
Row 7-15: dc all the way around, ss into the top of the ch 2.
Row 19: dc all the way around , ss into the top of the ch2.
Row 20: ch 1, sc all the way around, ss into the ch1
For the eyes(make 2)
Using black yarn, and a G size hook, make a magic loop and sc 6 into the center
Row2: 2sc in each stitch all the way around.
Using white yarn: 2 sc in each stitch all the way around. Break yarn with a long enough tail to sow the eyes onto the hat.
For the Nose.
Using orange yarn, and a G size hook, make a magic loop and sc 6 into the center
Row2: 2sc in each stitch all the way around.
Row 3: 2 sc in each stitch all the way around.
Row 4: repeat row 3.
Break yarn with a long enough tail to sow the nose onto the hat.
